Quantum Contemporary Launch October 26

am writing this blog having just returned from delivering artwork to the amazing Quantum Contemporary Gallery based in London for a series of high profile art fairs across the US over the next 12 months. Quantum Contemporary are one of the UKs largest galleries exhibiting at fairs across the globe as well as in Britain and I am genuinely proud to be producing work for them.

The official launch for my work with Quantum will be at AAF Boston in the SoWa Power Station, 22nd-25th October. The gallery will be showcasing a range from the Annular series as well as a collection of triptychs and stand alone 1-1m pieces mostly from 2026.

It has been a real journey the past month making sure that the artwork which is heading overseas works well with the gallery and tells the correct story, which thanks to masterful curation, seem’s to. The month of August is usually spent on art production as it is the downtime for fairs but this month, I dont’ think I have focused on much else other than getting the work and the studio correct.

Curation for these events is something that will always be at the forefront of every gallerists mind, I am a massive fan of Quantum’s roster of artists, I am a huge fan of Stephane Joannes who’s work primarily concerns it self with the artists love of Steel (see the connection) tankers which have appeared in harbour’s around his native country, France. His use of materials combined with a fine art finish really make his work unique.
