Next Solo Show date Incoming 2027
Confirmed plans to work with George Thornton Gallery, Nottingham into 2027 on a new Solo Show in the heart of the city at a new venue. Extracts from the Rob Doe interview with Sam at his studio space in Battle in May.

2027 seems to be turning into a milestone year for Sam as we await 2 dates for release of new artwork. One show has been confirmed to be in Nottingham and we have another potential London show in the planning with prolific artist Hannah Ivory Baker coming.
The Nottingham show will also combine taking in a new venue for the event as its time to explore the work in a diffrent setting. Following on from last years epic “Coal” show and the success from that event, the decision was made recently to work collectively, potentially with his daughter Storm Peacock on creating a new soundscape to go with the art on show, discussions have even began about there being a steel sound installation going in to the venue.

Materialistic gesturing, the storyboard for this show has begun as I hear from Sam after recently talking to him in his studio in Battle, we spoke about the use of Coal in the artwork and how he has used materials such as these organic items right through his career, through the early Ironsea days where we see the introduction of Ferric chloride to imitate rust and decay, through the use of coffee which has the intrinsic link needed to work with major players such as Novotel where he worked on their Canary Wharf HQ in 2016 right through to the eponymous “ Coal” where ordinary household coal was burned into dust and mixed with paint then reheated to get the effects which he so desires.
Coral Coal Ore and Greenite Ore both came about using heat and natural decay to wither the steel.
Sam has however confirmed to us that he will in fact be making the artwork to a soundtrack once again, this time we may have some “epic cave troll stuff” happening that will bring the audience closer to the artwork that he creates.
So keep an eye on 2027 as all the in formation will land on his social media @sampeacockart or at his website.
