New Release of Art at at the Kellie Miller Gallery Brighton

A whole new collection of artwork is heading to the Kellie Miller Gallery. This is going to be on general release to the public from September.

This yet untitled piece will has been made specifically for this new collection of artwork that is going on release to the Kellie Miller Gallery, based in the historic Lanes district of the city this coming Autumn. The clear reference to the coastal paths across the south coast is abundantly clear in this new range and I have taken a tremendous amount of colour and textural influence from how quickly the seasons this year changed from Winter to Summer, almost bypassing the spring entirely. The south coast through the early parts of the month of March were ravaged by low pressure fronts coming in from all areas across the region. The colours experienced at various times of day at some of my preferred weather watching sites in Hastings such as Pett Level and the area near to where I live called “The Hoary Apple Tree” site were truly immense this year and have clearly made an impact in this latest collection.

“New 60-80cm artwork as yet untitled on a steel plate. A mix of oils with ground arabica coffee super heated together.

“Barcombe Pleasant is a large 100-100cm artwork which was designed on a visit to the area surrounding Lewes over the winter months to exp;ore some of the open areas around the inland penninsular.

Numro Bay was one of the first completed pieces in this new collection. The liquid Iron which I use as a background was left over exposed in the sun on this piece specifically to enhance the contrast with the Salmon. This is a 100-100cm piece of art using oils and coffee heated onto a steel panel.

A yet as untitled 80-80cm piece of artwork which was shown at my studio open on the weekend of 15th July to gauge the new collection with collectors of my work and friends of the studio locally.
