How does the process start?
The process would usually begin with a meeting over the phone and a potential site/home visit, if the commission is more of a wall covering or installation artwork. We do this to ascertain what the client wants. You’re also welcome to pop by the studio to discuss your idea and take time to understand what style and textures you may be after while surrounded by a studio of examples of finished art works.
How long does the process take?
The whole process takes roughly 4-6 weeks to finish, a more accurate time scale will be issued to you once the commission details have been finalised.
Are you able to install the artwork once finished?
Absolutely, we are experts in hanging and fitting these pieces into your chosen space.
What do I need to show you if I would like to go ahead?
We normally recommend that you supply use with around 3-4 colours that you would like to see in your artwork. This way we can colour match the pieces and tailor the artwork to your specific needs.
Tell me more about the process of creating the artwork…
(can you write a little more here as you’re the expert.) Lots of layers of paint and texture have to be applied to complete the image and the painting needs quality drying time as it’s cooked in an open fire which decreased the natural drying process of the paints I use.
Will I receive updates throughout the process?
You will receive photos as the work is being produced so any minor changes you feel the painting needs can be undertook. However, as soon as the last heating process is completed, it becomes harder to change the finished result so larger changes may not be possible.
How is the painting hung?
The painting is backed with timber and spayed black to give an amazing 3D finish on the wall when it’s hung and can be delivered to your space within a week from completion either by courier of in person.
What’s the largest and smallest I can go?
