Fractured opened at the Curious Duke Gallery in the Spring of 2015 with independent reviews for the show appearing in the Wall St Journal, The Times, The Londonist and Inspiring City amongst many. This was the second show where Sam Peacock and Eleni Duke had worked together on a project. The theme of this event was to create 52 pieces of individual artwork, each named after a potential Hydraulic Fracturing site in the U.K. I personally went to a few of the sites to visit and create site sketches from each one.

The work itself is made using plaster and wire to represent the essence of the earths plates the process of Fracking was intended to disrupt. I used fire with petrol and paraffin to burn the oils and the coffee included with the plaster to create the surface textures seen in each individual painting. Each painting is based on steel measuring 35cm in size and were made in my studio in Wimbledon, London.
