Novotels Flagship Hotel in London’s cANARY WHARF

Images of the Foyer and 1st floor Coffee Bar which was created by myself over a 3 month period.

Taking on this amazing job gave real insight into how a grand design such as the Novotel Hotels Flagship hotel, set in the Iconic heartland of London’s financial hub came together. Not my first interiors job, but definitely the largest to date. Measuring 19 meters in total over the foyer area and 1st floor coffee bar. Constructed in over 1/2 tonne of mild steel pieced together in a variety of pieces to create this gargantuan living steel wall artwork.

The project has various design features including a hidden door within the artwork to give access to staff for storage of bags to guests of the hotel. This was a fabricated design created by the steel company I use for most interior jobs. The wall iteslf was created using oils and a mix of organic materials given life by a varying degree of heat added to the mix to give the installation its aged steel look.

Novotel is located on 40 Marsh Wall E14 9TP, London, United Kingdom. Head in to see my work in the flesh or book in for a chat about how it was all created. email sampeacockart@gmail.com for all the details.
