Moniker Art Fair “Frieze Week” 2-6th October with the Curious Duke Gallery

I am pleased to announce that I will be represented by Eleni Duke and the Curious Duke Gallery at the fair during it’s 10th Anniversary show at Chelsea Town Hall, SW3. I was very excited to show some of the new paintings I have been working on during the summer recess. My main aim of these paintings was to show a lighter texture within the landscaped pieces which goes against some of the more coarse, rougher terrain pieces of previous years. Along with the various blues and oranges which occupy some of the surface, I had looked at bringing in some of the newer peaches and clay colours in to the mix for this show.
As usual of late, my work has consistently focused on the landscapes which are located around the Sussex peninsular and the variety of textures discovered when detecting for metals within the earth and the scrapes created on the soil whilst digging. This becomes prevalent when looking at the new work.

Stellar, 150/100cm Oil, Coffee and Paraffin wax on treated steel.

The show runs throughout Frieze week and any work you may have seen at the fair can be viewed through the Curious Duke Gallery.
